Geek-Gasm Rawks!

Well, I finally saw Dave’s show on Sunday with Corinne, Rachael (Corinne’s Mom) and Mum and we all had a blast. I thought that the jokes all hit home pretty hard, especially the one about the only way to really appreciate your action figures is to open them! The only part I didnt like was when they brought up the sad passing of Optimus Prime (RIP). Im just joking Dave!

Im so proud of ya brotha! Keep up the good work and I am nervously waiting to experience the culture myself at the Action Figure expo in September with you.

RIP Marquise Hill

Marquise Hill of the New England Patriot’s body was found yesterday after he fell off his jetski in a lake in New Orleans. He was with another passenger who was able to swing to a buoy while Marquise was swept away with the current and found a day later.

I dont want to take anything away from this tragedy but neither of the two were wearing life jackets. Just another chilling reminder to always wear a lifejacket while on the water.

Be Safe!

Randy Moss? WTF?

Well, the Patriots picked up WR Randy Moss from the Oakland Raiders for a 4th round draft pick. I guess they didnt give away that much at all and they still have plenty of room under the salary cap but Im still stracthing my head? I dont know if this guy is going to fit with the team and the Pats already picked up 2 great WR’s. Ah well, that why Im not a head coach of a professional football team. No matter what happens I dont think I could ever get a Moss Jersey. Lets just hope that he doesnt jinx the team (right Denny!).

BTW pics of the Cruise will be up shortly.

Why I am a Leaf’s Fan

I am a Leafs fan because I am. Thats it! Here is hoping they win tonight because I couldnt imagine a better way to end the regular season with a game against the Canadians that will actually mean something. If they win tonight and Saturday (in regulation of course) then they are in and we will have at least a week and half longer to watch our beloved Maple Leafs. If they dont get in, its only 5 months till the start of the NFL regular season!

Captain America Dead??

Well, for those of you who do not follow the comics the end of the Civil War is over and Tony Stark’s side has won (pro registration of all superheros/villians). Note: Spiderman was part of the pro registration side and actually unmasked to show his true identity. Captian America was the leader against the registraion and surrendered before killing IRON MAN during the final battle, therefore ending the Civil War. In the last issue of the series while leaving a courthouse he was gunned down by a sniper and died (not the full story). If your interested in the comics this mini-series has been really cool! Also, no one ever dies in the Superhero world!

If you want to get a synopsis of the entire event just check this out.

Winter Wonderland!

Well, Im sure everyone has their story of getting home yesterday so here is mine. Met Corinne at Fairview Mall from my office – Kudos to the wifey for making the trek on foot! That little stint took me over an hour, with a half hour just to get onto DonMills from my head office. If I walked to DonMills I would of got there in less than1 minute. Corinne and I then ate some dinner and walked around the Mall making a few purchases. Left the Mall around 7ish as to let the traffic die down a little. It worked and it took us an hour from the Mall to home. Not too shabby! We both felt bad as the onramps to the 404 were plowed in and we saw numerous vehicles stuck trying to merge onto the highway.

Well, other than the headaches we got home safe and I hope the rest of my friends and family did too! Lets hope that this was the last of the winter weather!

The Invincible IRON MAN

Well, on my way home from work today I’m going to try to pick up the new animated IRON MAN movie. Its been out for a month now and I have been to Rogers Video every weekend since it came out only to find that there are no copies left. Lets hope that today there will be one for me to rent. If not, I might just have to go over to Walmart and just buy it. This is the only time I have every encountered difficulty getting a movie at Rogers. I guess it doesnt help when they only have 4 copies. But renting the Avengers 1 and 2 animated movies were not a problem at all and they only had 1 copy each? Ah well, I have my fingers crossed!

Leafs TV. Conspiracy or not???

When I got to work today I decided to go to my usual websites and had already forgotten about the Leaf game when I went to TSN. So I was happy to see that the Leafs had won. However, I also was upset because it seems that they always win when they are only on Leafs TV, as in the case last night. To prove this theory of mine I found out that this year so far they have played 8 games that have ony been availible on Leafs TV. As you have probably figured I dont have Leafs TV. So from these 8 games they have lost 1, lost 1 in a shootout and won 6 games. Considering they have only won 23 games outright (no OT, etc.) out of 50 all season and 6 of those have been on Leafs TV.  Thats makes it 26% of wins come on Leafs TV and only 16% of games have only been shown on Leafs TV.Â

Take what you will but I thinks its a conspiracy or maybe it just pisses me off because they are not making the playoffs. I guess I should just shut up and pay the extra 10 bucks a month, but we all know when I do that they wont win anymore on Leafs TV.Â

Congrats to Indy Fans

Well, The New England Patriots couldnt make it to the Superbowl this year with a 38 – 34 loss to the Colts yesterday. Of course Im upset and a little depressed but I cant be that upset seeing the sucess of the PATS the last 6 years. I think its time for Manning to put the critics to rest and win the big show. At least I hope he does.Â

Lets see what the 2007 season brings for the PATS.Â
